MIA FOR NEW YEAR’S AT APEX
Apparently I’m terrible at updating my blog. Over the holidays. During snowboard season. I’ll try to be better
From today until January 2nd, I’ll be away for New Year’s at Apex Mountain with Allan, Trev, and Crista. Looks like great conditions, too. I can’t wait! We’ll be staying in a neat little bed and breakfast and riding for 3 days.
I haven’t had much time to collect a post of all the riding I’ve been doing over the past week or so… so unfortunately this silly video of some friends at Christmas will have to do. We had just gotten back from a great day of Christmas Day riding at Hemlock and were making Christmas dinner. There was drinking… I had a really bad cold so that’s why I sound so stuffy… and J likes to dance. That is all. Oh, I asked J for permission to post this video.. hopefully no one else minds!

Hee hee
Oh, here’s a summary of the past couple weeks:
Days Riding this season so far: 8
Mountains: Whistler, Baker, Seymour, Blackcomb, Hemlock, Cypress x 3
HAPPY NEW YEAR’S! I hope you have a good one. See you on January 2nd
2009 BABY!!!!!!!

Happy New Year to you too Allie!!
Don’t worry about updating your blog, go out and have some fun in the snow! Besides your blog is still pretty up to date. Your buddy J has got some sweet moves, that spin was money.
All the best to you in the new year Allie! ‘Til January 2nd, 2009.

Hey Merry Christmas to you too! I hope you had a good one… Bummer you’ve been sick, so have I! It probably hasn’t helped that I went snowboarding 3 times while I was sick… Haha.
And hey don’t feel bad about not updating the blog, I haven’t done anything with mine for like a week and a half!
Hope you have rad new years!

Happy New Year!

Apex = Awesome from what a friend of mine tells me, I have never been. For Feb I am trying to convince people that a week long trek to as many the interior mountains that we can hit is a must, but thus far people keep telling me about their jobs and stuff
Have an awesome New Year!

For anyone wanting to go to Apex, try and go mid-week. Stay in Penticton or Keremeos in a tiny motel for cheap. The trek is only about 30-40 minutes from each town. I worked there 10 years ago but haven’t been since. Used to be that mid-week you could basically ski or ride and not see others on the runs… eerily quiet, but amazing snow and obviously no lines. May have changed by now, but the snow would be just as stellar.

Once again, awesome video! Allan & Trev threatening to kill whoever enters the kitchen along with Jason dancing and twirling. Looks like everything is in order!

Thanks UD! It is definitely hard to keep up today amidst work, play, and friends! Hahaha yeah.. J has definitely got the dance moves
Michelle, your first home, really? Are you from around there? I LOVE APEX now! It’s so uncrowded and lots of great powder. I’d love to come to Grouse! It’s definitely in my plans soon.
Zac, sorry to hear you’ve been sick! Hope you’re feeling better now
See that’s my problem too.. even when I’m sick I’ll go surfing or snowboarding and therefore never really get better! Happy New Year!
David, Hemlock is really neat actually! I’m going to make a post about it soon. Relatively uncrowded, a really nice open face to ski/snowboard, and lots of neat little hikes to do. I highly recommend checking it out. Expect slower chairs but no waits and great snow
Be warned though: Check beforehand because they are only open certain days depending on conditions..
Mr. Jerk, yes Apex is great. I think you’d love it. I would LOVE to do an interior trek.. I really want to get out to Nelson/Revelstoke this year. That’s my goal
Michelle, yep you’re right that is definitely the cheap way to do it! You don’t have to pay a lot of money to have a great time on the mountain!
Still no lines
Emily, hahaha yeah, pretty random eh
Kimm, thank you miss, I did!
Tawcan, damn you and your backcountry days!!!
fish, Apex is near Penticton, BC. Interior-ish. Unfortunately I’m 100% against Facebook apps
