FLIGHT BOOKED
In a last ditch effort to save my skin, I’ve decided to go the only route I know works 100%. Fly somewhere humid, with the ocean.
So yep, for the first time in my life, I will be traveling by myself to a foreign country.
I’ve made quite a few posts about my experiences in Costa Rica already, and how much I adore the surfing and the culture there.
So, my flight is BOOKED! I’m flying down to Costa Rica for July 10-19. I can’t wait. Planning on staying in Tamarindo and on the Guanacaste Coast.
Humidity, the sun, the salt water, the beach… it’s all going to be great.
I’m a little nervous to go there by myself, but since I’ve been to all the places I’m thinking of staying, I feel fairly safe and confident about where I’m going.
Still working on finalizing details on hotels, condo rentals, surfing etc… will keep you updated!

Have fun Allie! Looking forward to your reporting of Costa Rica while you’re down there. We’re headed to Puerto Viejo de Limon for my birthday and new years eve!
Are you taking your dSLR with you?

Of course I am. Wouldn’t go anywhere without it! Hehe
I’ll probably bring my underwater housing too if I’ve got any space in my bags.

When I was in Costa Rica a few years ago, surfing and travelling, it was amazing, stunning, and tons of fun!
Safe travels and I look forwrd to reading about your adventures!
Are you taking your own board? or renting?

Hey Allie,
Tamarindo is a great place for some R&R. If your still looking for a place to stay I’d recommend La Luna Llena. It’s a great small hotel, with friendly staff and a pool; they also throw in breakfast too. I believe they also rent bungalows with kitchens as well. Captain Suizo is also a nice spot, but more pricy. Be sure to check out Nogies, my favorite restaurant for fish tacos.

what a great trip – can’t wait to see all your wonderful photos. I was actually thinking of going down to Costa rica on a girls trip to do some surfing and yoga. Any suggestions for any women’s camps down there?

SWEET!! HAVE FUN!! I would have chosen New Zealand, But Costa Rica is probably better for the skin, where as NZ is better for the soul. But I’m biased towards NZ cuz I spent two months there. It rocks.
Can’t wait to see the photos!
Cheers!
