More junk from Burton. Those channel boards absolutely are the worst; the bolts often come loose within hours of being in snow.

Did Burton not talk to structural engineers about the fact that steel bolts shrink in the cold?

I'm interested in your opinion on a board choice. I've been riding over 15 years, live in Vail, and would consider myself an advanced rider. My delima is this... I love to spend my days in the trees, relatively tight trees, because that is where the powder is. I also spend a lot of time riding with guys who are much heavier and faster than I am, going top speed on groomers from hit... to hit... to hit and I'm always the last one to the chair... it irks me to be last. I also like to jump, ollie and spin, but am not a park girl at all.

I'm 5'4", 126 lbs. So, I'm looking for a board that is sturdy/stiff enough to hold up in high speed chatter, but flexible enough to maneuver tight trees in powder. It would be great if it had a little snap for ollie/butter.

I've been looking at the Feelgood, Feelgood ES (too stiff?), and now you have me wondering about the Malolo. Sounds like you like trees as much as me.

Any suggestions? If I demo, I'm going to end up having to pay full price on a 2010 model and can't afford that.

Yeah snowboard post!
I've always been partial to Burton as well (pro deals help). I haven't tried the channel system but like the idea of unlimited stance variation. No new boards this year though:(

peach/nikki,.

for a catch free ride you should check out the social or the feather, both have softer flexes, mellower edge tunes and convex tip & tail which should help reduce all the edge catching.

good luck!
