DEAR SANTA…
My absolute FAVOURITE thing in the whole world is giving other people presents. One of the few things I am really good at is figuring out what to give other people. And so, it’s no surprise that Christmas is my favourite holiday.
I NEVER do my Christmas shopping early. I am a very impatient person and having to wait to see the look on people’s faces when they open your presents is just excruciating. So, I generally do my shopping the weekend before or a few days before Christmas. As of tonight, I will be COMPLETELY finished my Christmas shopping (I thought I finished on the weekend but it looks like there is one more thing to get), and so begins the long, long 3 day wait till Christmas morning.
Believe it or not, I actually feel very uncomfortable when people give me presents, and that is why I have instituted a “no presents” rule at every birthday party. I’ve asked Allan and others not to worry about buying my presents this year to save money, and I’ve personally toned down my shopping this year as well to lighten the load on the credit cards.
Nevertheless, in the world of blogging… we get to make fun, fanciful wish lists… and so I present to you my fantasy Christmas list to Santa!
Dear Santa… I would love:
… a Glidecam HD-2000, to shoot floaty HD footage with my Nikon D90 and not have to worry about camera shake… oh the world of possibilities it would open up…
… hockey and Canadian-themed Lululemon shirts …
… Panasonic SD cold-resistant memory cards since I’m constantly full when shooting my videos and photos …
… a Le Creuset cast iron frying pan to add to our collection ….
… a Cuisinart commercial ice cream and sorbet maker …
… a little Valentino if you have any in your sleigh …
… a fun gun for those big days in Cox Bay …
… tickets to the ice hockey game of the century … (Photo Credit: cbc.ca)
… and of course, a wonderful Christmas with my amazing family.
What would your Wish List look like this year?

Awesome list! I’m usually not a big Lululemon fan, but I think their new line is hilarious, cute and genius!
I agree, the purse is gorgeous!
I would never spend the money myself, but I want one of those Tassimo coffee machines.
Hope you, Allan and your families have a beautiful Christmas and New Years!

What an awesome list.
Only thing I get from santa well more his elf’s (my brother and mom)these days are in my stocking. Though my cats tend to give the socks/underwear gifts under the tree.
I already know I’m getting a new dragon boat paddle (been using it since September)
Only thing I ask for these days have been paddling related stuff and a new gym membership and some money towards school.
Have a great christmas

Wow, I hadn’t seen that Glidecam before but that looks awesome! I’d LOVE something similiar, some sort of steadycam setup would be so much fun!
Hope Santa is good to you in a couple nights, Allie

I’m also a little unconfortable with the gifts.. but if anyone ask me for something I want, it would be a laptop and a few books to read. I wish for health too, and if it’s posible, for love.
Hope you have a great Christmas and and that Santa brings you what you love the most!

All I want for Christmas is a little less commercialization and focus away from material objects.

Ahhhhh… my wishlist includes a new handbag, a new wallet, a new camera, a new laptop and a new iPod. I could go on. But I don’t want Santa to think I’m greedy.
Happy holidays!
