IT HAS BEGUN! (PLUS A CYPRESS MOUNTAIN TICKET GIVEAWAY)
Scroll down for the giveaway! Yesterday Allan and I made it up to Cypress Mountain for our very first day of the 2011/2012 ski and snowboard season! In the SECOND week of November! Crazy! Yes indeed, Cypress Mountain was the first ski resort to open in British Columbia and one of the first in North America!
Although the runs and chairlifts were limited, it was amazing to get our first turns in for the season. And with all the fresh snow on top of lots of snowmaking, it made for a fantastic first day. Lots of fun! Cypress also had some boxes and jumps set up on the side of the runs for some freestyle riding. Can you believe the mountain has opened already! Get your legs ready!
And because we had such a fantastic day on the mountain, thanks to Cypress Mountain we are giving away TWO full-day alpine ski passes!

The small print: I use a random number generator to draw the winner with a witness. I will post the winner in the comment of this blog post and in a Twitter update on Sunday evening.
